Gonzalo Alvarez, a local artist and member of 3C Comics - a collective of comic book artists, combines elements of his Hispanic culture with a love of wry humor and macabre art in his work. A second year art student at Lamar University, he has a showing of his pieces at the art museum in Nacogdoches and sells prints locally, as well.
